CURRENT KWMR SHOWS

Can you help me? This website is not perfect, and it is not the way we want it especially the way it looks on smart phones. We ara looking for someone to do a one time clean-up - fonts, margins, embeded images - and an occasional support. Can you help me with cpanel?

COMING UP ON KWMR 90.5FM, KWMR.org:

Saint Valentin: We will hear love songs, of course, with Sophie Cantier's friends help: Louis Osman, Lou Nell, Gribouille, Faune, Poline Roth and many others.

On February 20, we will listen to the results of the Victoires de la Musique [French Grammies] who took place the week before and a conversation I had with Oliver Laxe who's French film "Sirāt" will be one of the foreign entries at the Oscars

By clicking on my mustache below, you can listen to the 2010 top songs that never made it after that. Some are very good songs though. PLUS the conversation I had with Ugo Bienvenu who's film "Arco" will be at the Cannes Festival.

ALSO there on the archives, on January 30th we heard my cousin Jacques from Nice who produced "Happy Hour", a French cocktail moody music program to unwind before the weekend. Here are the ingredients for the mocktail - to be consumed without moderation - he concocted for us. You still can hear it at KWMR.org/archives/Happy Hour". For the recipe he gave during the show, just combine the following:

Non-Alcoholic French 75 Mocktail

Ingredients

  • 2 cups ice
  • 3 ounces fresh lemon juice
  • 4 dashes lemon or orange bitters
  • 2 (6-8oz) bottles premium [ in glass] tonic water
  • 2 rock candy swizzle sticks

You can also catch on the archives from THURSDAY February 5th two hours of classical music mostly with bassoons.

We just celebrated TEN YEARS of The French Touch on KWMR, and fifty years of Radio à la Carte in California! At about an average of 15 songs per show, that's over 7800 French pop songs shared with you just on KWMR! I am so glad we did it together, KWMR and you the listeners. Drop me a line below, would you [form at the bottom of this page]?

At times we do not have a theme, we'll play a potpourri of songs, lots of good French Pop music from our shelves and drawers, including new recordings just received. Contact us below to let us know what you want to hear.

ON WUOT.org, 91.9FM:

I am priviledged to sub for the classical hosts of that station of The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, when they are absent: covering for Melony in the morning from 9am to noon and for Matthew in the afternoon from 1pm to 4pm Eastern Time. I believe my next 3 hour classical shows will be mid February. Please leave me note HERE  with your requests.
